Description
Every Cipherpod Black (or Cipherpod Black set) is uniquely keyed, and the RFID fobs that come with them will authenticate only for those units. Their RFID fobs are incompatible with Cipherpod Standard, but Cipherpod Black will still work with any other RFID device as well.
- Good: Every unit is uniquely keyed
- Bad: If this device is destroyed, lost or stolen, you will never be able to reproduce the passwords generated by it, and we do not keep records of devices sold so we cannot provide a replacement. If you encrypt a computer or hard drive with this unit and it’s lost or destroyed, the data is absolutely, assuredly and completely unrecoverable, ever. We suggest you get a Cipherpod Black (Pair) so that you’ll have a backup just in case.
