Description
The Cipherpod Black is uniquely keyed, their RFID keyfobs are 256-bit and they require authentication by the units within this set, making them appropriate for government and classified use. These two Cipherpod Blacks are provisioned together with the same security key so that you can tuck away one as backup is case the original is lost, stolen or damaged.
- Good: Every unit is uniquely keyed, and their RFID keys require authentication by these provisioned units, specifically. They will still work with any other RFID source however.
- Bad: If this device is destroyed, lost or stolen, you will never be able to reproduce the passwords generated by it, and we do not keep records of devices sold so we cannot provide a replacement. If you encrypt a computer or hard drive with this unit and it’s lost or destroyed, the data is absolutely, assuredly and completely unrecoverable, ever.
