Cipherpod reads absolutely every detail about an RFID key making every device – from old hotel room keys to credit cards – very difficult to meaningfully copy. In order for your Cipherpod to generate the exact same passwords these devices must be duplicated perfectly which isn’t possible without dedicated hardware and software.
Send us your old hotel room key, and we can send you back your original plus many more for safe keeping. The cost of the service is per copy, such that you send us the key to be duplicated, we send you that key back with the number of copies you requested at cost-per-copy.
We require you send your RFID token via signed service with tracking (i.e. USPS 2-day w/Tracking+Signature) at your own expense, we will ship you back the original plus duplicates via signed service and tracking (i.e. FedEx 2-day w/Tracking+Signature) at our own expense. We never retain copies of keys, which would be useless to anyone without the PIN you choose to use for your applications.
